2 Simple Steps on How to Make your Brain Stop Worrying

We actually have two brains. Cognitively speaking, these are the “non-thinking” brain and the “thinking” brain. The non-thinking brain is where the emotional system comes in. We are talking about the limbic system.
The limbic system which includes the hippocampus and amygdala raises the emotional responses of the body. Since this system is older than the thinking part of the brain which is the prefrontal cortex, we tend to give in to dull decisions which make situations worse.

When we are too overwhelmed and overstimulated, we make decisions badly because of the adrenaline rush going through a fight or flight response of the body. And in order to come up with a very well thought decision and overrule your worrying brain. We have a list of simple steps for you presented below.
1. QUESTION YOUR IRRATIONAL BELIEFS
Most of the time, we are threatened by things that are actually not threatening. We believe it exists because of certain beliefs we used to practice. It makes us do what “must” be done when in fact it shouldn’t be. Stop being irrational by getting out from your fantasy world and be more realistic. Have a strong gut to know your true self and you’ll see that worrying stops.
2. WHEN MAKING DECISIONS, DON’T LET FEELINGS OVERRIDE YOU
When emotional levels are at peak, we tend to decide quickly and then, later on, regret it. Learn to set aside your feelings and talk your way through it. If some negative thoughts are bulging in, covert it into positive or neutral ones. In this way, a clear-headed evaluation replaces illogical thoughts.
And when feelings are set aside, even when under emotional argument pressure, judgments are likely to fair and reasonable. So when deciding, simply be more rational and logical. This could pave your way out of worrying.
