5 Signs That you have Iron Deficiency Anemia

Anemia is a medical condition wherein a person has fewer red blood cells than normal and feels very weak and tired. In this condition, the blood is deficient in red blood cells, in hemoglobin, or in total volume as a whole.
One of the most common forms of this disease is the iron-deficiency anemia. Although it is very much common, warning signs of this condition are not very noticeable. You don’t have any idea yet that you have it unless diagnosed. 
Deriving from the condition’s name, one simply lacks iron in the body which is significant in forming red blood cells. Most of the time we feel weak and tired due other external factors, and this doesn’t post mean that you are anemic.

1. HEADACHES
Headaches have been are experienced almost by everybody. It is a symptom that doesn’t only pertain to a specific disease because it could be considered as a symptom of any others.
Headaches together with other symptoms simply mean that there is not enough oxygen delivered throughout the body.
2. NUMBNESS
Numbness felt in the upper and lower extremities of the body is a sign of iron-deficiency anemia. This is due to the shortage of blood received by the organs and blood coming from the arms, hands, legs, and feet are the ones to keep it from lacking such.
3. STRUGGLING FOR BREATH
Anemic people tend to struggle for breath whenever they do something physical. To increase the amount of oxygen in the blood, one tries to exert more effort to breathe deep and quick.
4. MEMBRANES LOOK PALE
Pale membranes particularly the ones found in the eyes indicates anemia. The waterline located above the lower lash line normally has lots of veins, and if it is abnormally pale, this indicates anemia.
5. IRREGULAR OR HEAVY PERIODS
If a woman experiences irregular and heavy periods, one common underlying cause could be iron-deficiency anemia. This is due to the uterine fibroid in the uterine cavity that causes extreme bleeding and painful cramps.
