This All-Time Favorite Could be the Doom of Us All! Find Out What It is and Why!

French Fries have “a bad reputation” and with reason. It is known that fries are not the healthiest food and it isn’t healthy to eat a lot of any food. Read on to see what you should avoid, and especially why your kids should not eat fries.

1) FRENCH FRIES HAVE “BAD” FATS

Bad fats increase risk of cancer, heart disease and diabetes. On the other hand, good fats, as olive and sunflower oil, are protectors of our health. Bad fats are directly connected with clogged arteries, increase of the level of cholesterol, and lowers lipoprotein density. Besides, saturated fats stay longer in organism, increase circulation of triglycerides in blood and lowers the level of good cholesterol.

2) FRENCH FRIES HAVE THE WORST CARBOHYDRATES

Potatoes are not bad for health, but the preparation can make them bad. Potatoes have starch and carbohydrates. Most of fries are made from white potatoes which transform to sugar in body. When you eat fries, you have to “use” the carbohydrates immediately or they will transferred into fatty tissues in body.

If you eat too much fries, it will increase the production of insulin and the body develops insulin resistance, and increase the risk of heart disease and diabetes. Carbohydrates should provide 50-60{f5ab09af0c377f83da9f41074cd0fd2b75e5f4f09b397729aa1a8dba58295e03} of the energy a child needs from food, but instead of fries, it is best to get simple carbohydrates from milk, fruit, and cereal because with these foods you also get fiber and a host of other great nutrients.

3) FRENCH FRIES CONTAIN TRANS FATS

Trans fats are oils that have been chemically-altered (through a process called hydrogenation) from their original liquid states, into solid shortening. Fried food is very delicious, but fried potatoes are dangerous food which can cause heart conditions, cancer and diabetes when consumed in excess because they have trans fats. Fries have a high level of akrilamid, substance which can develop some types of cancer.
