4 Ways to Support your Wife During Her Menstrual Periods

Menstruation or commonly known as the period is defined as a normal vaginal bleeding which occurs as a part of a woman’s monthly cycle. It usually lasts from three to five days.
Note that besides vaginal bleeding, other body symptoms occur before and during the period. These symptoms include food cravings, mood swings, tender breasts, headache and pain in abdomen, pelvis or even at the lower back.
With all these symptoms felt by wives during their period, husbands can see this as a problem sometimes because they don’t know how to approach their wives. So here are four ways of how you, husbands, can support your wives during their menstrual periods:
1. GIVE CHOCOLATES
Most of the women are chocolate lovers. They crave a lot especially when want to satisfy their sweet tooth. Give chocolates to your wives especially dark chocolates. Dark chocolates contain flavonoids which improve mood.
2. BE UNDERSTANDING
Women during their menstrual periods are at the peak of their mood swings. They express excessive irritability and seems to be distracted. Understand them and be just cooperate. When you love someone you have got to learn to try understanding them at all times especially if its the dreaded period for men, women’s menstrual period.
3. NEVER LET HER BE DEHYDRATED
A woman’s body tends to become dehydrated during a menstrual period that’s why men should have the initiative in exerting effort and show some care to the woman they love by keeping her hydrated. Make her drink lots of fluid as water is the best recommendation. But you could also give her fruit juices or shakes but never tea or coffee due to its caffeine content. Always remember that caffeine increases symptoms of pain during periods.
4. ALWAYS BE REMINDED OF THE “RED ALERT”
Not only should women be monitoring their menstrual cycles but you as a husband should do this too. You should be prepared at all times even when it comes to their menstrual periods or “red alerts” You can anticipate her mood swings and merely adjust better on these red alert days if you also keep track of their cycle.
